// Wie kommt ihr am besten zu uns? - ANREISE
// Fahrrad – Bus – Auto
FAHRRAD:
Dafür haben wir:
// besondere Fahrradstellplätze eingerichtet,
// eine Sprottenflotten Station direkt am Gelände organisiert,
// ein kleines Special für alle die mit dem Fahrrad anreisen überlegt.

// And there's no shortage of festival feeling and partying either! - Let's end the evenings together with relaxed music right on the festival site!
Both Thursday and Friday evening the opening and after-show party will take place here with us and we look forward to toasting with you.
// Also - SAUNA with Jante Sauna all day long
// What should you bring? - CHECKLIST for the festival
You are well prepared if you have the following with you:
// festival ticket & SCHED app
// weatherproof clothing, a jumper & swimwear for the sauna
// your own coffee mug & water bottle to fill up with tap water
And most importantly - curiosity, openness and a desire to experience & discover new things!
// What's the best way to get here?
// Bike - Bus - Car
Waterkant Festival Gelände // Schusterkrug 25 // MFG5 // 24156 Kiel Holtenau
Car parking is very limited here, which is why we warmly recommend travelling by bike or public transport and try to motivate you to do so with the following offers.
BIKE:
We have: // set up special bike parking spaces, // organised a sprat fleet station directly on the site, // thought of a little special for all those travelling by bike.
The best way to get to us by bike from the city is to cycle north along Holtenauer Straße and then take the free ferry across the canal. Then it's another 10 minutes along the water until you reach the site. Just follow the signs along this path.
// You can access the sprat fleet via the DONKEY REPUBLIC APP. - By the way, the first 30 minutes are always free of charge
BUS / public transport:
The best way is to take lines 12 and 13 to Schusterkrug station. Once there, it's about a 10-minute walk.
// There will be a SHUTTLE BUS from Schusterkrug station to the festival site and back during the main arrival and departure times.
PRO TIP: A combination of BUS, FERRY and BICYCLE for the best KIEL & FÖRDE EXPERIENCE! // Take line 11 to the WIK canal, then take the ferry and once across, hire the sprat fleet and roll along the waterfront to the festival site.
CAR:
If there is no other option, it is of course also possible to arrive by car. This will also be well signposted. Simply navigate towards Waterkant Festival - Schusterkrug 25 MFG5 Gelände // 24156 Kiel.Holtenau or this MARKING // There you will find the access to the car parks.
// ❗ ATTENTION: If you drive towards the Waterkant Festival site on Google Maps, you may be directed to the other side of the harbour, so check this beforehand.
Any questions?
// Try the first official WATERKANT CHATBOT! #new
Here you can get helpful information on sessions, talks, topics, travelling and much more.
Typical visitor questions such as:
‘When is the next AI lecture?’
‘What's the best way to get to the site?’
‘What events are taking place today on the topic of sustainability?’
// are answered 24/7 - even if the team may have to take short sleep breaks // small #disclaimer - the bot is still a prototype, errors may occur. #onlyhuman
Behind this is Henrik Horst, the AI consultant and developer, Project Manager Mittelstand Digitalzentrum SH is also the course leader for the Machine Learning Deegree at opencampus.sh. Together with his course participants, he created the Waterkant chatbot last semester. // In his session ‘How to Chatbot - Making AI usable’ at the festival, you can learn more about what it takes to build a functional chatbot.
